Trusting God's Higher Ways
Hello guys! I hope it's not too late to wish you a beautiful second half of the year. Welcome back from the long break! 😄 I must confess that I missed you all. It feels so good to be back. Sending a virtual hug to you all! 💞
I am so happy to share my testimony with you all. When I traveled on June 28th, 2024, I truly understood what it means when God says, "My ways are not your ways." (Isaiah 55:8, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord)
We must understand how “my ways are not your ways” helps us trust God, keeps us humble, and applies to our everyday lives. Sometimes, God will be saving us from danger, and we may never understand the process. We might end up complaining because we think things are not going the way we wanted.
On my journey, I experienced this firsthand. The trip didn't go as planned, but in hindsight, I realized that each twist and turn was part of a greater plan to keep us safe. It reminded me to trust God's timing and methods, even when they don't align with my own expectations.
So, whenever you feel frustrated or confused about life's detours, remember that God may be protecting you from unseen dangers. Embrace the journey with faith, knowing that His ways, though different from ours, are always for our good.
On the first of June 2024, during working hours, I received alarming news from PunchNG: "Travellers Kidnapped, One Shot on Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Expressway." No fewer than 20 travelers were reportedly abducted by gunmen around 8 pm on Sunday, and one of the victims was shot in the knee.
The strangest part is that our bus passed the same route later that night, around 8 pm, right after the incident happened. Let me explain how we were saved from that trip. Our driver stopped at a filling station to buy fuel worth 2500 or thereabouts. I don't know the exact amount, but it seemed too small for that particular vehicle. Everyone in the bus, including me, was complaining because we thought it was strange. The driver had to buy fuel again because the first purchase wasn't enough. We were frustrated, not realizing that these delays were actually protecting us.
Little did we know, God was saving us from an accident and kidnapping. So, when I say "God is good," some people might not understand. That night, I learned that sometimes what seems like an inconvenience or delay is actually divine intervention.
May God continue to keep us all from any form of calamity in Jesus name.
I hope you've learned something new today.
